I love it when layouts kind of just make themselves, like this one did.

The papers in this layout are an old We R Memory Keepers line. I loved their stitched papers! The stitched "Family" paper saved me from coming up with a title. ;)  I used a punch to make the alternating scallop borders. 

I used the CTMH cricut cartridge Art Philosophy and the chipboard banner pieces to make the banner covered in coordinating printed cardstock with a black scallop shadow, and tulle to hold it together.

The rest of the embellishments are mostly from the line of papers, though I did use some word stickers from K&Co, and some mini alphas.

Steampunk Wedding

Greetings!
Here's another layout with Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante!

A friend of mine had a steampunk themed wedding back in May. It was lovely. Naturally, the G45 papers were perfect with this particular subject. :)

I also had some chipboard wings from a sizzix die that I cut a few years ago when I worked at the LSS. I used Distress Stain to color them, then inked the edges. I also had some gears... Prima I think. And some Bo Bunny brads. :)  I did cut some mini book pages for the flip book of extra photos in the bottom corner. I'm pretty sure the pages came from one of the CTMH cricut cartridges, Art Philosophy maybe? Anyway,

Moments in Time

Hey all,

Here's another "use your stash" layout. Love me some Graphic 45!!!  One of the reasons I love G45 is their prints, especially "back side" prints. I love the small repetitive patterns. Often far more versatile than the larger, themed prints on the main side.

This is the sample layout, I made 5 kits of this layout to sell to my friends.

I used the cricut to cut the title, both "moments" and "time" come from the Gypsy Font. "in" came from Cake Basics font.  The parentheses at each end are a border cut, from Elegant Edges. The large banner in the middle is Art Philosophy, with some size adjusting in my gypsy. The rose leaves are from A Child's Year.

The roses are felt and cut with my Sizzix Bigshot, and the 3-D Flowers die. Not sure why the red color is so saturated in the picture. In real life, I "grunged" up the red and tan felt flowers by inking them with distress black soot ink before rolling the flowers up. It made the felt color not quite so intense.

Here's is another project made entirely from my stash.

It's a kit that I created for some friends... since I create most of these kits from stash, I only make a handful of them. The papers used are from DCWV and cardstock.

The Cricut cartridges I used were Autumn Celebrations (Cornucopia), Elegant Edges (large label shape), Art Philosophy (tags), MS Seasonal Cake Art (Title).

Here's a secret:  The brown shadow of the large label shape is not whole... I cut the base of the cornucopia and the shadow of the title in the center of the label shape shadow to conserve paper! You'd never know because the top green layer of the large label shape hides the hole left by cutting those out. :)

Winter Holiday Cards

So, I've been trying to make our winter holiday cards for the last few years. I try to make a "simple" design in the hopes I get them done quick, but gluing these together took a while so they weren't as simple as I'd wanted. lol

This year I also wanted to stick to using only my stash, which meant that I had to find enough cardstock of each color to make the cut top layer, and another layer for one of the mats. Fortunately, I found enough cool blues and purples to make these. A few of these colors may be non-traditional but hey... I managed to not buy a thing! :)  I still need to do something with the insides, probably a stamped sentiment. But at least I got 40 of these done and I can finish up the stamping this weekend.

These cards were created by welding snowflakes and a sentiment from several cartridges into a rectangle frame that I sized to fit a card that would fit into a regular size #10 business envelope. See below for the cartridges used!

Here's another layout I did at the Lorado Scrapbook retreat. Again, I used my stash! The only new thing on this layout is the mask I used to mist spray the background... it is a Studio Calico "Mr Huey's" mask that I bought at Lorado. I forgive myself for buying it because it helps me use up the HUGE stash of mists that I have! I think tools that can be used over and over don't count, right?  lol  Everything else was in my stash though.  The rub on that I used for the title has been in my stash since October of 2008! When I first started scrappin', and I bought it at a scrapbook garage sale! lol

A Love Like This

This is a page I designed as a kit for friends. My favorite color combo is red, white and black. My wedding also happened to be dark red, white and black. :)

Butterflies are from: Everyday Pop-up Cards, Hanna Montana, Art Philosophy, and Picturesque.
Title is from Beyond Birthdays (love) and Wall Decor and More (the rest).

The half circle is from Independence Day.

The layout is very dimensional with the tulle at the top and the butterflies pop-dotted over that. What wasn't included in the kit were the couple of Charlene's Button Box heart buttons that I added after I put my pictures on the layout. :)
