ICS #38 Let it Snow!

If you like stickles, get the new Rock Candy!  I wish it were more visible on this card (I may take another picture when I find the camera!) but there is Rock Candy around the edges of the pink shape. When it dries it really does look like Rock Candy! So cool!

I also used my cricut and BG's new Eskimo Kisses papers.

Autumn Fun

A new layout from me! :)  This one is using Basic Grey Indian Summer papers, stickles and prima bling. I cut all the shapes except the photo mat on my cricut (designed by gypsy!) using A Child's Year, Gypsy Wonderings, Everyday Paperdolls and the background large scallop square I don't know what cart that is... it was one of the first cut files I made on my gypsy by taking a scallop square from some cart and adding the circles in each scallop. I love scallop shapes. I stickled all the leaves and pop-doted them. The title is stickled too.

Snow - it's just WRONG!

Yeah. It snowed today.

And not just any wimpy snow, that you have to really look hard to realize what you thought was a sprinkle is actually frozen, but big poofs of many snowflakes clumped together.

This is Iowa, not canada. We should NOT be getting snow in early october.

And since I don't usually post non-crafty related things on this blog, I will say that I was on my way to the scrapbook store when the snow began and I took this picture when I got there.

ICS #37 and my debut!

Today is my first day as Design Team member over at Inspirational Card Sketches! Check it out! Dawn always has wonderful card sketches. Here is this week's sketch:

And here is what I did with it:

So I used the new BG "Eskimo Kisses" line of papers (so cute!) for everything except the sentiment. I cut the flower on my cricut from the Winter Woodland cartridge and the sentiment box from Storybook. I layered the flower after using Distress Ink aged mahogany on the edges. I also inked the sentiment box. After it was all put together I used the new Rock Candy stickles along the edges of the flower and sentiment box. The stuff is clear but it seems to soak up some of the ink as it dries, and it really does look a little like rock candy when it's dry. It is so cool! I will be using my Rock Candy sticles a LOT! lol

Dream

This layout was created for some challenges over at Scrapbook Dreamer. You should check out the forum! Spooktacular contest going on over there all month!

I used My Mind's Eye "The Spider's Web" line papers for this layout. The only thing I cut on my cricut is the word "dream", and I used the Stamped cartridge. I love Stamped for my halloween layouts. The picture is when my son was 1 year old. Thanks for looking!

ICS #36

This card was made using Inspirational Card Sketches #36!

Well I'm just LOVIN' my gypsy! I designed this card on my gypsy (while on break at work) and then cut everything on the cricut except the green branches, which are cut with the Martha Stewart branch punch. The only hard part is figuring out which carts I used... Lets see, Wild Card, Winter Woodland, Christmas Solutions and Home Decor. 

Amazing how fast things go together when I can design it elsewhere and just cut and create when I sit down to my table. Thanks for looking!

Journey to motherhood

I spent nearly 2 months of friday night crops making a mini-book of my journey to becoming a mother. There was an issue, PCOS, and so there was a lot I had to do in order to get pregnant. But it was so worth it, and I made this book to chronicle that journey.
