July 4th

Took me a little bit but I did get my July 4th layout done.

The interesting thing about the photos are that they are all from my cell phone. I forgot to take my camera when we went to visit my dad and stepmom halfway across the state, so the only camera I had with me was my cell... which actually has more megapixels than my very first digital camera years ago. lol Anyway, here it is!

I am using this layout for challenges at my local store Scrapaganza and for the forum at Scrapbook Dreamer.

New stuff

I thought I'd post a few new layouts :)

A little new and old... older K and Co papers, and new Prima flowers. Plus some new Making Memories letter stickers and some old Thickers.

Fancy Pants papers and Prima Paintables, some watercolors, Maya Road leaf pins and Thickers.

I had fun doing these. Both were done for challenges over at Scrapbook Dreamer.

a few layouts

I thought I'd post a couple layouts since it's been a little while since I last did. :)

The layout below I wanted to use some more of my BG Marrakech papers, plus I had some of the coordinating chip stickers and rubons. So I threw this layout together as I also wanted to record how our cat Kiya was the only one of 3 cats that sought out our son.

This layout I wanted to use a grungeboard skull thingie, so I picked out the papers and used the distress crackle paint to paint the skull and an arrow, then spritzed them with a little glimmermist. I also saved the backing to the paper ribbon and spritzed that with the glimmermist, and used it as an embellishment with the paper ribbon. Got the idea from one of the DT at my local store. :)

This is my favorite of this batch of layouts. The pictures aren't great, but I loved how they went with the 7gypsies paper. The bling and most of the flowers are prima, and the letters are Thickers.

ICS #20

Well, this is my last card as Guest DT over at Inspirational Card Sketches. I was so honored to be GDT and I tried to stretch myself a little more with this card. I did already have the flower parts done and I hadn't used them for anything, and I hate to waste stuff. The flower was made using the "funky flower" techniques I learned from Wendy Vecchi when she came to my LSS Scrapaganza and taught workshops. The flower is made from grungeboard and grungePAPER, and I used Wendy's stamp line, Studio490. The papers are 7gypsies, along with some cardstock. The button was a spare I had in my sewing supplies. There's a bit of colorbox ink too.

28!

So my favorite local scrapbook store, Scrapaganza, posted on their blog that they have lots of new Thickers. I *HEART* Thickers!!! And of course I shopped their Thickers on friday when I was there for crop. :D

Penny posted on her blog about the Thickers, and mentioned she was an addict with over 80 packages of Thickers. 8) That's a lot! So I counted mine. I only have 28 packages. lol... and several are duplicates as I use certain colors a lot (like the black vinyl sprinkles) and have more than one package of them because I run out of letters a lot. I have been known to cut up or trim the letters to turn them into a different letter... but sometimes you just have to get more Es.

So... I only have 28 packages... I need to get more Thickers!

ICS #19

If you aren't following the card sketch challenges over at Dawn's Inspirational Card Sketch blog, you are totally missing out. She's da bomb on the card sketches! I am GDT over there for this week and next, which rocks hard baby! So check this out, I made a kids card. Super easy because the paper was already blinged up. LOL gotta love DCWV glitter paper. The cardstock is Core-dinations brown and green. I love that stuff.

ICS #16

Oooh, I had fun making this card. I like fussy cutting a lot, and I LOVE BG's Marrakech line. And I can never go wrong with Dawn's sketches over at Inspirational Card Sketches. Here's my take on this week's sketch #16.
